Carrie-Anne Moss

CarrieCarrie-Anne Moss was born August 21, 1967 [1] and is a Canadian actress. After her initial television roles was her breakthrough role, she gained acclaim for her part in The Matrix series (1999 to present). Memento (2000) was her debut big role. She won the Independent Spirit Award, Best Female Supporting Actress, Red Planet (2000). Chocolat (2000), Fido (2006), Snow Cake (2006). Snow Cake (2006) earned her the Genie Award, Best Performance by an Actress, Disturbia (2007). Unthinkable (2010). Silent Hill: Revelation (2012). Pompeii (2014). Jessica Jones (2015), 2015-2019) and Unthinkable (2010) included among her television roles. Moss was living in Spain when she was offered the role as Tara judge Nicholas Marshall's clerk, in the drama series Dark Justice. This was her first television appearance. In the course of the show, she relocated from Barcelona to Los Angeles in 1992. Moss had to leave Dark Justice in the third and final season. She was replaced by Elisa Hingsohn in the role of Samantha Collins. She attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena after her return and was later a star on Fox's primetime soap opera Models Inc., a spin-off of Melrose Place, as a model. The show was cancelled in July 1995. Matrix was a short-lived made in Canada series. In the course of the 1990s, she starred in various television series, like Street Justice, Baywatch, F/X: The Series, and Due South, for which she scored a nomination for the Gemini Award for Best Guest Actress in Drama. The film roles she played included numerous B movies including Flashfire (1994), The Soft Kill (94), Tough Guy (94), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (191996) and The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
